7:38pm: so anders came down to visit this weekend.

since anders will probably cover the things we did do (with pictures!), i'm going to point out the things we didn't do:

• see the salamander in my yard, even though we looked for it.</i>
• sneak into a yard to pick their persimmons. (i tell you, it would take my mom a nanosecond before her eyes glassed over and drool started from her hanging jaw as she said the word, "kaki!!!.")
• restrain ourselves at "Half Price Books"
• restrain ourselves at Amy's Ice Cream
• leave 6th street without a bad aftertaste
• go turkey vulture hunting
• short the bill at kerby lane. we left plenty but a ten disappeared somehow and the waiter came running after us. (seriously, anders and i would not short the bill...we've waited for hours to be noticed, just to pay the bill.)

and anders did not:

• restrain from spoiling the cat! she meowed very loudly for two hours while i was trying to recover from the 5am wakeup to take anders to the airport!
